Rooms to start in.

  • Living room

Room for a sofa, a rug and a wall of shelves.

  • Kitchen

Cabinets, a countertop and the appliances along its walls.

  • Bedroom

A bed, a table each side and somewhere for the clothes.

  • Bathroom

A vanity, a mirror and walls waiting for a finish.

  • Dining room

A table, its chairs and the window beside them.

  • Home office

A desk by the window and shelves at your back.

From a bare room to a look you like.

  1. Pick a room

Each one is built at true size, with its walls, its door and its windows in place. Open it and look round.

  2. Furnish it in your own words

Start from a sofa, a bed or a rug at its usual size, or describe a piece of your own. It is made into a model you set down in the room.

  3. See it as a photograph

Stand where you like, set the hour, and send a few words about what to change. The room comes back as a photo.

What you can try.

  • A colour or a finish in a sentence

Send a few words with the view, such as green walls or an oak floor, and the photo shows them.

  • The light at any hour

Morning sun, late afternoon or lamps after dark. The photo keeps the light you chose.

  • Furniture that fits

Every piece stands at the size you gave it, so you can see what the room has space for.

  • Another take

Make the photo again for a different reading of the same room, and save the ones you like.

  • A room closer to yours

Every wall, door and window in a room of ours is yours to move, so you can bring it nearer the size and shape of your own.

  • Something to show

Send a photo to whoever shares the house with you, or take it along to the paint shop.

Questions

Do I have to draw a room first?
No. Start in one of ours and change as much or as little of it as you like.
Can I make the room match my own?
Yes. Move its walls, doors and windows until it is the size and shape of yours.
Is it a real photograph?
It is a rendering of the room on your screen, made to look like a photograph. The walls, the furniture and the light stay where you put them.
Can I buy the furniture I see?
Each piece is made from your description, so it shows the kind of thing you have in mind. Take its size and its look with you when you shop.
Do I need to know 3D or design software?
No. You pick a room, say what you want in it and look round.
